Washington, D.C. – The District of Columbia Housing Finance Agency (DCHFA) issued $63.2 million in tax
exempt bonds for the substantial rehabilitation of Worthington Woods Apartments on June 23, 2023. The
Agency underwrote $45.5 million in federal and $9.1 million in D.C. Low Income Housing Tax Credit equity for
the preservation of Worthington Woods’ 394 affordable apartments located in the Washington Highlands
neighborhood of Ward 8.

exempt bonds for the construction of Fort Totten Senior Apartments in Ward 4 on May 24, 2023. The Agency
underwrote $20.2 million in federal and $3.6 million in D.C. Low Income Housing Tax Credit equity for the
development of this 100 percent affordable community, reserved for seniors age 62 and older.

Washington, D.C. – The District of Columbia Housing Finance Agency (DCHFA) has financed the rehabilitation of 202 affordable apartments at scattered sites across Wards 7 and 8. DCHFA issued $43.1 million in tax exempt bonds for the acquisition and rehabilitation of this 16-building community formerly known as WDC 1 which spans Anacostia, Marshall Heights and Fort Dupont on February 27, 2023. The Agency also underwrote $33.4 million in federal Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) equity and $6.4 million in D.C. LIHTC equity to finance this redevelopment.

Washington, D.C. (January 11, 2023) – Somerset Development Company, Jonathan Rose
Companies, and Housing Up announced today that construction has begun on The Faircliff, a
125-unit affordable housing project in the historic Columbia Heights neighborhood of
Washington, D.C. The all-electric building, which is among the most sustainable yet in the
District, will be built alongside Novel 14, a 197-unit market rate apartment building built by
Crescent Communities. A joint groundbreaking will be held on-site on January 18.
